Borrowing books and other materials
Books, magazines, CDs, and audio books may be borrowed for 2 weeks. DVDS may be borrowed by adults only (age 16 and older) for 1 week. The overdue fine for all materials is 10 cents a day to a maximum of $5.00 per item. Materials may be renewed in person when the Library is open or 24 hours/day by calling the answering machine at 518-295-7127. We will need to know your name and the item(s) you wish to renew.
Get a library card
Applications to get a library card are available at the library’s main desk. Applicants must show some form of photo ID, such as a valid driver’s license, and a piece of mail addressed to their current address. The card is accepted at ALL MVLS/SALS libraries in the eight counties of the joint system, subject to that library’s rules and regulations. Patrons between the ages of 5 and 15 may get a juvenile card.
