Special Board Meeting

The Schoharie Free Library will hold a special board meeting on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 at 7 p.m.  There will be an executive session regarding matters leading to the employment of an individual.

Magazines from Overdrive

Did you know your Schoharie Library card allows you to access over 3,000 magazines online? In addition to providing access to downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks, the Overdrive app lets you browse and download magazines to your internet-enabled device. If you have questions, feel free to stop by or call the library.

Board of Trustees Meetings

The Board will hold a special board meeting on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. and will immediately adjourn into an executive session.   The purpose of the executive session is to discuss personnel matters.

The Board’s regular February meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m.

Young Adult Advisory Council

The Schoharie Free Library will be holding two interest meetings for 13-18 year-olds in the Schoharie School District interested in helping found a YA Council. Chinese New Year Crafts

At 4:00 pm on Wed., Jan. 27, the library is hosting an online program focused on crafts and traditions related to Chinese New Year celebrations. Sign up online for the program, then come by the Schoharie Free Library to pick up a take-and-make craft kit and maybe check out one of our many children’s books about China and the Chinese New Year holiday.

2nd chance to Meet the Director

Our 1st “Meet the Director” program was a success, so we’re doing another one. Join Don LaPlant, Schoharie Library’s new director, for a brief presentation followed by some casual conversation about planned service changes, upcoming events, new programs, and our library’s collections.
